As you research care options for your loved one you may visit several communities. These Alzheimer's units may look similar but there will be many differences in design and programming. Albion Court is unique in many aspects.
First and foremost, caring for people with Alzheimer's disease and other types of memory loss is our only focus. We are dedicated to providing the best possible environment and lifestyle for our residents, a lifestyle that enhances the abilities and memories that are retained.
Albion Court has a state of the art design created specifically for people with memory loss. This includes four secured neighborhoods of 14 to 18 residents. Each neighborhood includes:
- Residential look and atmosphere
- Open floor plan
- Secured paradise gardens
- Private rooms with baths
- Spacious common living areas
- Specialized furnishings, colors, lighting and flooring
- Serenity spa
- Window valance lighting, automatically timed to mitigate "sun downing"
To complement this ideal setting, our specialized programming ensures that residents maximize their abilities and live with independence and dignity. Our staff members share not only a passion for working with people with memory loss, but extensive training in this specialized care.
Upon each person's move to Albion Court, our key staff members conduct an in-depth interview with the resident and their family. Communication with family members is a cornerstone of our program. Through this we learn how best to enter each resident's reality and create an excellent quality of life.
Our program includes:
- Personalized care plan for each residents
- Assistance with activities of daily living
- On-site Geriatrician (MD)
- Optimum level staff to resident ratio
- Comprehensive daily activity program to promote enjoyment of life
- Health and fitness programs
- On-going staff training in caring for residents with memory loss
- The most up to date knowledge and research in Alzheimer's and other dementia
